Kale Chips....

So one day I had so much extra kale that I got on Pinterest to find a new and exciting recipe for Kale. I had heard so much about Kale chips, but seriously? Leafy greens as chips? I'm not a dumb...I know what chips are and you can't replace them! Or can you?!


I got my kale out and rinsed it off. I usually tear my kale off in bits or you can cut it too. After it was all of the stems and rinsed, I let it sit in my strainer for a second while I preheated the oven to 350. Once the oven buttons were pushed, I rolled out the white carpet (paper towels) to dry the kale off!


Once it was dry, I lined a baking sheet with parchment paper and placed my clean and dry kale on it. Then I lathered it with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil and light dash of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt. I massaged this mixture in a for a few minutes.


I then placed the kale in the oven for about 10 minutes. When my timer reminded me I was cooking still, I took out the kale and flipped them over. In they went for about 8 minutes.


When I say I was surprised by the outcome, girl I mean I was FUCKING SURPRISED! They were so crispy, with light salt and it seemed they were melting in my mouth. My husband laughed at me for such a ridiculous after dinner treat. Then he tried one....they were all gone within 5 minutes. We dominated that kale!


The next night when we were catching up on our shows, there was a request for kale chips. Yeah, from my husband! Of course, I took full advantage of this request and made another batch that we enjoyed.


Moral of the story, just try some damn kale chips! They are so easy to make at home and they are mouth watering delicious when they come out of the oven. We tried to eat some later, but they lost their crunch.
